Since 2007, Sophie has through her business Younique Coaching coached many recruiters at all levels to bill more and be more successful. She also works at an advisory level to recruitment leaders and business owners to assist them to build high performing teams. Sophie’s areas of expertise include: leadership for high performing teams, growing temp and contract businesses and business development. Sophie’s book ‘Secrets to running a lucrative temp desk’ has helped many companies establish and grow their temp desks.

Laura is a Sydney based Recruitment Trainer who has spent nearly 20 years in the industry. She is the co-founder of one of Australia’s most awarded business support agencies and has spent the last 8 years training Recruiters through workshops, programs and 121 coaching, as well as working closely with Agency Owners to provide advice across their business strategy, operations and employee lifecycle. Laura prides herself on her highly practical, no cookie-cutter approach- she only trains on what she has learnt herself and her programs are tailored to each agency’s market, values and ways of working, with a strong focus on real world application and measurable ROI.

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte in London, Phil moved to one of his main clients, Hays plc, in 1995. After a couple of years in Head Office roles he moved to the Recruitment business, subsequently moving to Australia as FD of Hays Specialist Recruitment in 1999. He remained in this role until September 2024, during which time the turnover grew from $148m to nearly $3bn, with the business expanding into 7 countries across the APAC region. During his tenure Phil was responsible for the Finance, IT, Legal, OHS and Commercial support functions.
