2024 saw significant changes to workplace laws, including updates from the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Closing Loopholes Act No.2) 2024 (Cth) and Fair Work Commission activity. Key changes include changes to multi-employer agreements, delegates rights, the new right to disconnect, and new definitions for employees and casual employees. Regulated labour hire orders also began on 1 November 2024, and criminal wage theft offences recently commencing on 1 January 2025.
