Data sharing to monitor skilled Visa compliance - Sovereign Private

The Department of Home Affairs will share data with the ATO to check if business sponsors meet obligations (e.g., correct pay) and if temporary skilled visa holders comply with visa conditions (e.g., working only for an approved employer). Biographical details of primary holders of Skills in Demand or Temporary Skills Shortage (subclasses 457 and 482) visas from the past three financial years will be matched against ATO payroll data. Around 58,000 individuals are expected to be included in this compliance program.
